ABOUT THE SYMBOL
The Relative Humanity symbol represents the rich and dynamic tapestry that is humanity and how we relate to one another and to the world in which we live.
The symbol consists of four beings interconnected in a circle. The arms intersect with each other, showing the core connection we share as humans.
The position and color of the four beings are inspired by the Native American medicine wheel, where the four corners of North, South, East and West represent the characteristics of humanity: red representing vision, respect; black representing knowledge, feeling; yellow representing time, relationship; and white representing movement, behavior. The beings are surrounded by the blue of the sky and dance around the green and blue Earth center which holds a sun yellow inverted triangle.
The strength of a triangle embodies unity. Its downward orientation speaks to the qualities of nurturing, peace and bringing balance to humanity.
The Relative Humanity symbol colors are based in the primary color palette of red, yellow, green and blue, from which all other colors are created. These colors are what create the beautiful diverse spectrum and palette of the world and all its creatures.
We created this symbol to communicate a drum beat for change and the evolution of human rights by signifying a human friendly space. We hope to keep the human race awake on the subject of diversity and inclusion and environmental sustainability.
